Staff Sgt. Gregory Hyson, lead guitarist for Controlled Detonation, the 1st Infantry Division’s official rock band, plays a riff for troops on Camp Taji, Iraq, Oct. 30. Controlled Detonation is the last Army band of its type in Iraq, and frequently tours the country to perform for service members. On their latest tour, the band performed for troops with the Enhanced Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division.
