Gen. Paul J. Selva, vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Col. Ty Neuman, 2nd Bomb Wing commander, observe a munitions connection on a B-52 Stratofortress at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., May 1, 2017. As part of the tour, 2nd Bomb Wing leadership delivered a briefing to Selva describing the unit’s mission and accomplishments. During the tour Selva also met with Barksdale’s senior leadership to discuss the importance of the nuclear enterprise and thank the Airmen at Barksdale for the role they play in the U.S. deterrence mission.
