    2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division

    Spc. Juan Valencia, C Troop, 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, salutes U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr. during a promotion and recognition ceremony at Brigade Headquarters, Oct. 29. Casey promoted eight 2BCT paratroopers to sergeant, presented eight troopers with coins for outstanding performance, and presented one retirement award. He also met with brigade leadership to discuss the Falcon Brigade's transition from the Global Response Force, training and plans for a future deployment.
