Col. Tim. McAteer, 2nd Brigade Combat Team commander, speaks with U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. George W. Casey Jr. prior to a promotion and recognition ceremony at Brigade Headquarters, Oct. 29. During the ceremony, Casey promoted eight 2BCT Paratroopers to sergeant, presented eight Troopers with coins for outstanding performance, and presented one retirement award. Following the ceremony, he met with brigade leadership to discuss the Falcon Brigade's transition from the Global Response Force, training and plans for a future deployment.
