Command Sgt. Maj. Jose Vega is congratulated after receiving the Bronze Star Medal with Valor at a ceremony held at Fort Knox, Ky., Wednesday, Oct. 6. Vega, currently stationed at Camp Shelby, Miss., came to Fort Knox to receive the award from Accessions Command commanding general, Lt. Gen. Benjamin Freakley, who was Vega’s division commanding general at the time he earned the award.
