PACIFIC OCEAN (March 24, 2017) Seaman Michael Saunders, from Sheperdsville, Ky., assists Seaman Anthony Willette, from Bostic, N.C., to turn off a fire main valve during a general quarters drill aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG 59) while underway for composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests the mission readiness of the strike group's assets through simulated real-world scenarios and their ability to perform as an integrated unit.
