Col. Chris Philbrick, Special Assistant for the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, Lt. Gen. Peter Chiarelli, presented the most current report on the Army's Health Promotion, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention to Lt. Gen. Thomas G. Miller and First Army leaders and Family Delegates during the First Army Commander's Conference and Family Leadership Conference here. The HP/RR/SP report is the result of a focused 15-month effort to better understand the increasing rate of suicides in the force. First Army is responsible for mobilizing, training and deploying all Continental U.S. based National Guard and Army Reserve forces need to support combatant commanders worldwide.
