Col. Douglas A. Denn, commanding officer of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, stands with Cpl. Michael P. Gaudin, a food service specialist with Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, after Gaudin receives the award for winning the 4th quarter chef of the quarter at the station mess hall, Sept. 23. Gaudin placed first in the competition. He served beef cordon bleu, garlic-parmesan potatoes, asparagus and strawberry cheesecake. He will now compete against the three previous chefs of the quarter winners for the chef of the year competition.
