Kevin Mercado, a San Juan, Puerto Rico, native serving as an intelligence analyst with B Company, 321st Military Intelligence Battalion, uses a compass to shoot an azimuth toward a pre-determined point March 9, 2017, at Camp Blanding, Fla. Land navigation was one of myriad of challenges Mercado and 11 fellow Soldiers faced during the 143d Sustainment Command (Expeditionary)’s Best Warrior Competition.
