A U.S. Marine with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (Reinforced), performs a maintenance check on the belt feed of a MV-22ZB Osprey helicopter before flight during Realistic Urban Training (RUT) at Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., March 6, 2017. RUT is a land-based exercise that provides an opportunity to integrate unique skills and develop the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s collective proficiency in challenging and unfamiliar environments. The 15th MEU maintains a high level of readiness to be where needed, when needed, and the units undergo demanding unit-level certification cycles to be proficient in every critical mission area.
