U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Gabe Martinez, a boatswain's mate, Maritime Civil Affairs Team 115, hands out pencils and other school supplies to the children of Fundo Island, a small islet that is part of Pemba Island, Sept. 14. The Little Creek, Va., based MCAT 115 is deployed to Tanzania as part of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa. Maritime Civil Affairs Teams are deployed worldwide to assess partner-nation infrastructure and enhance capacity.
