FORT IRWIN, Calif. — A Soldier from Easy Troop, 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment fires a M249 Squad Assault Weapon at enemy combatant during the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division’s assault on the town of Nabran, in the National Training Center, Feb. 18, 2017. The 2/1 ABCT’s assault marked the first engagement of NTC’s Rotation 17-04, and served as a training exercise to test their experience in close quarter combat and capturing urban objectives.
