CAMP PATRIOT, Kuwait — Spc. Michael Higginbotham, a Salvage Diver Board candidate for the 511th Engineer Dive Detachment, searches for deficiencies in the Surface Suppled Dive side equipment for the Salvage Diver Board, Feb. 2, Camp Patriot. He has 10 minutes to find four deficiencies within the equipment. This board is the last step these candidates have to pass in order to advance from 2nd class diver to salvage diver. Candidates spend anywhere between one to three years working on a Department of the Army Form 7690, which includes 37 tasks starting the minute the Soldiers complete the Combat Diver Qualification Course.
