Marines from Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 266 (Reinforced), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, raise a rotor blade to the top of a CH-53E Super Stallion during its re-assembly process on the flight line here Aug. 25. The detachment of Marines flew from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., ahead of the 26th MEU's main body to aid in humanitarian relief efforts in Pakistan. The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) Marines prepared a temporary workspace for the detachment the day before their arrival. Marines from 3rd MAW (Fwd) and Marine Wing Support Squadron 274 constructed four climate-controlled tents, set up generators and ran wiring for computer and telephone access. Construction, from leveling the ground to site completion, only took the Marines about a day.
