F-15 Eagle crew chief Airman First Class David Lairsey of the 199th Maintenance Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam conducts a visual inspection by looking for loose screws and cracks of an F-15 while at Hickam on Aug. 25. The 199th Fighter Squadron is transitioning from the F-15 to the F-22 Raptor, which is a fifth generation fighter. The 199th has flown the F-15 since 1987 and received their first two Raptors on July 9.
