Staff Sgt. Dwayne Morgan, a member of the 106th Rescue Wing Honor Guard present the colors at the annual New York "State of the State" address at the SUNY Farmingdale campus in Long Island, New York on January 10, 2017.
During this event, airmen presented the colors while the Freeport High School performed the National Anthem. Afterwards, Tech Sgt. Patrick Williamson recited the Pledge of Allegiance, after which the colors were retired, at which point Governor Andrew Cuomo began his address.
The theme of Governor Cuomo’s 2016 address is “Built to Lead,” recognizing New York’s heritage as a standard bearer throughout U.S. history, the significant progress achieved in the state over the past 5 years, and New York’s inherent capacity to lead the nation in addressing some of today’s most pressing challenges.
