Marines with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force depart USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) to maneuver to the Narragnsett (TSV-4), which simulated holding detainees, while conducting a visit, board, search and seizure drill Dec. 10, 2016, as the ship is involved in an Amphibious Ready Group Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise. The three-week training evolution is intended to build upon previous relationships, thereby enhancing Navy and Marine Corps interoperability and amphibious warfare capabilities to tackle a wide range of operations during their upcoming deployment.
