ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Arielle Vasquez, a photojournalist assigned to the 36th Wing Public Affairs Office at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, captures images of the humanitarian efforts over Elato Island, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), for Operation Christmas Drop (OCD) 2016, Dec. 7, 2016. OCD is a U.S. Air Force tradition that started in 1952, delivering needed essentials such as clothes, food and tools to approximately 20,000 people living in more than 50 isolated islands throughout the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and Republic of Palau. The U.S. was joined by international military partners from Japan and Australia as part of the Department of Defense’s longest running airlift mission. (Photo by U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt.
