U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Michael, a KC-10 Extender boom operator deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, refuels an F-15E Strike Eagle near Mosul, Iraq, Nov. 20, 2016. Using either an advanced aerial refueling boom, or a hose and drogue centerline refueling system, the KC-10 can refuel a wide variety of U.S. and allied military aircraft within the same mission.
