U.S. Air Force retired Col. Robert Blake, son of Lt. Gen. Gordon A. Blake, and Lt. Col. Marc Greene, 15th Operations Support Squadron commander, unveil a memorial plaque during the tower dedication ceremony in honor of Lt. Gen. Blake, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Dec. 5, 2016. During the attack on Pearl Harbor and Oahu Dec. 7, 1941, then Major Blake was the base operations officer at Hickam Field and earned the Silver Star for his actions. Dec. 7, 2016, marks the 75th commemoration of the attacks and the U.S. military and state of Hawaii are hosting a series of remembrance events to honor the Pacific Theater's veterans.
