Members of Sgt. James Strickland's family visit with Durward Swanson (right) during the dedication ceremony of Strickland's memorial marker Dec. 4, 2016, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Strickland was killed near the memorial marker by Japanese gunfire during the attack on Pearl Harbor and Oahu Dec. 7, 1941.
