U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Michael Sickels, the inspector-instructor for Detachment Delta, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, surveys the Arctic tundra while traveling via snow machine from Deering to Kotzebue, Alaska, Dec. 1, 2016. Sickels was part of a team of Marines that traveled in sub-zero temperatures to multiple villages in the Northwest Arctic Borough to deliver holiday presents to Alaskan children as part of Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots is supported by the United States Marine Corps Reserve with a goal of delivering, through a new toy during the holiday season, a message of hope to youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens.
