The sun rises over the Arctic tundra in the Northwest Arctic Borough, Alaska, Dec. 1, 2016. U.S. Marines, assigned to Detachment Delta, 4th Law Enforcement Battalion, traveled hundreds of miles via snow machine over Arctic tundra, and in sub-zero temperatures, to deliver holiday presents to Alaskan children as part of Toys for Tots. Toys for Tots is supported by the United States Marine Corps Reserve with a goal of delivering, through a new toy during the holiday season, a message of hope to youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive and patriotic citizens.
