Col. Brian Howlett gives a speech Dec. 1 during the Camp Hansen Tree Lighting Ceremony in Kin Town, Okinawa, Japan. The event brought Status of Forces Agreement Members and Okinawa residents together to enjoy the lighting of a tree decorated by the residents of Kin Town and a performance by the III Marine Expeditionary Force Band. Howlett thanked the local residents for their support and friendship over the past year and expressed his wishes for even stronger relationships in the future. Howlett is the Camp Hansen camp commander. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Jessica Collins)
