ARABIAN GULF (Nov. 22, 2016) Seaman Daniel Lewis, from Chicago, converts a fluorescent lighting fixture to L.E.D in the forecastle of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike) as part of the ship's energy conservation effort as the flagship of the Great Green Fleet. Lewis works as an electrician's mate aboard Ike. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
