    WestPac 16-2: Exercise Tiger Strike Training

    SABAH PROVINCE, Malaysia (November 11, 2016) - An MV-22 Osprey prepares to land and unload Marines in the Sabah Province of Malaysia as part of Exercise Tiger Strike 2016, Nov. 11. The purpose of Exercise Tiger Strike is to allow for Malaysian and United States armed forces to strengthen military partnership and increase the two forces abilities to plan and execute amphibious operations. The Marines are with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The 11th MEU, part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
