SABAH PROVINCE, Malaysia (Nov. 12, 2016) – A Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructor with Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, warms up Malaysian Soldiers with 7th Battalion, Royal Malay Regiment, with squats before a period of instruction during Exercise Tiger Strike Nov. 12, 2016. Rigorous exercise before MCMAP is meant to fatigue the body and mind, forcing Marines to fight while mentally and physically tired. Tiger Strike is a bilateral exercise between the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU and Malaysian Armed Forces designed to enhance communication and coordination, and increase combat readiness within the context of stability and security in the region.
