USS MAKIN ISLAND, At Sea (October 20, 2016) – Gunnery Sgt. Travis Jones sights in on an M240B medium machine gun before a live-fire range aboard the USS Makin Island (LHD 8), Oct. 20, 2016. Jones acted as the range safety officer for the evolution and provided Marines with a refresher course on operating, and clearing stoppages on the weapon system before commencing live-fire.
