Thetford toured the hospital and received briefings on the robust in-theater medical capabilities supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. The 28th CSH provides mission command to key medical enablers and serves as the medical hub to stabilize, hold, and stage critically ill and injured casualties while awaiting air evacuation, sustaining the International Coalition in the effort to weaken and destroy Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
