Students at the Henry Ford Academy in San Antonio, Texas, participate in a voluntary pledge to stay drug free after U.S. Army Reserve Sgt. 1st Class Byran Johnson, a unit prevention leader (UPL) with the 4th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), spoke with them on Oct. 24, 2016, in support of Red Ribbon Week. As a civilian Johnson is a coach and teacher at Judson Middle School in Converse, Texas. He discussed the dangers of gateway drugs and talked with the students about the reality of addiction.
