    US, Polish forces conduct anti-tank cross-training

    DRAWSKO POMORSKIE, Poland – Spc. Joseph Mahler, Paratrooper, Company D, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, acquires his target and prepares to fire 9mm tracer rounds from an M136 AT4 anti-tank weapon alongside Spc. Jacquez Jones, Paratrooper, D Co., 2nd Bn., 503rd Inf. Regt., during anti-tank training with Polish allies from the 16th Airborne Battalion, 6th Airborne Brigade, in Studnica, Poland Oct. 29, 2016. Paratroopers were able to hone their marksmanship skills with the AT4 anti-tank weapon, RPG-7D Anti-Tank Grenade Launcher, M320 grenade launcher and .50-caliber machine guns. The “Sky Soldiers” of D Co., 2nd Bn., 503rd Inf. Regt., are on a training rotation in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a U.S. led effort in Eastern Europe that demonstrates U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region. The 173rd Airborne Brigade, based in Vicenza, Italy, is the Army Contingency Response Force in Europe, and is capable of projecting forces to conduct a full range of military operations across the United States European, Central and Africa Command areas of responsibility within 18 hours.
