A U.S. Airman assigned to the 1st Expeditionary Civil Engineering Group operates a jackhammer during runway repair operations at Qayyarah, West Airfield, Iraq, Oct. 7, 2016. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) destroyed the runway using heavy machinery and explosives.
