U.S. Marine Capt. U.S. Marines with 3d Marine Expeditionary Brigade, III Marine Expeditionary Force, are in the Philippines to participate in an engineering civic assistance project during Philippine Amphibious Landing Exercise 33 (PHIBLEX). PHIBLEX is an annual U.S.-Philippine military bilateral exercise that combines amphibious capabilities and live-fire training with humanitarian civic assistance efforts to strengthen interoperability and working relationships.
