Army National Guard and Reserve Soldiers set up cots at Denich Gym as Hurricane Matthew approaches the eastern tip of Cuba near Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Oct. 3, 2016. Approximately 700 spouses and children were evacuated to Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. Hurricane Condition of Readiness I (COR I) was set base-wide and all residents should be sheltering in place or moved to their emergency shelter location. Matthew was a category 4 hurricane that formed in the Western Atlantic Ocean and affected Haiti, eastern Cuba, and the Bahamas before moving up the southeast coast of the United States.
