ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 2, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Dylan Keomaka, from Makakilo, Hawaii, stands an arresting gear engine operator watch aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Keomaka works aboard Ike as an aviation boatswain's mate, where he is responsible for the launch and recovery of aircraft. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
