Australian soldiers, right, assigned to Task Group Taji, teach Iraqi soldiers how to conduct a support-by-fire line at Camp Taji, Iraq, Sept. 26, 2016. A support-by-fire line is used to suppress an enemy as an assault group moves to an objective. This training was to build the Iraqi soldiers’ confidence and proficiency at performing this task. Advise and assist sites like Camp Taji are an integral part of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve’s multinational effort to increase the military capacity of Iraqi security forces personnel to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
