Staff Sgt. Christopher D. Hale, an entry control point leader, embraces identification tags belonging to Capt. John J. McKenna IV assigned to B Company, 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5. McKenna, 30, was killed in action Aug. 16, while conducting combat operations in Fallujah, Iraq. A memorial service was held Aug. 26 to honor McKenna.
