    Rachel Hasty speaks to a Marine recruit at an engagement luncheon during the Educator’s Workshop on Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., March 31, 2016. Hasty enlisted into the Marine Corps following her trip to the workshop and is slated to be a reserve Marine while keeping her current job as a guidance counselor at Westbrook High School in Westbrook, Maine. The workshop is a four-day program designed to better inform high school educators and community influencers about the benefits and opportunities available during service in the Marine Corps.
