Sailors assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 35 participate in the 6th annual Military Pit Crew Challenge competition during the Coronado Speed Festival held in conjunction with Fleet Week 2016. “The Magicians” of HSM-35 placed second in the competition. Known as the “Race at the Base” the Coronado Speed Festival held at Naval Air Station North Island is one of San Diego’s most successful fundraisers for the military and is an opportunity for the public to visit the base and interact with Sailors and Marines.
