The Honorable Debra S. Wada, Assistant Secretary of the Army Manpower and Reserve Affairs, is briefed by Lt. Col. Ralph Radka, chief of staff for the 4th Infantry Division Mission Command Element, on the overall function of the MCE in Baumholder, Germany Sep.15, 2016. She was given a tour and briefing of the MCE explaining its role and purpose as the intermediate-level headquarters in support of U.S. Army Europe’s Operation Atlantic Resolve mission. Operation Atlantic Resolve is a U.S. led effort in Eastern Europe that demonstrates the U.S. commitment to the collective security of NATO and enduring peace and stability in the region.
