Michelle Fitzgerald, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 4 and members of the local community place their hands on the schoolhouse walls to leave their handprints during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Indonesia 2016 in Surabaya, Indonesia, Aug. 30. CARAT is a series of annual maritime exercises between the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and the armed forces of nine partner nations including Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
