An F-15C Eagle from the 122nd Fighter Squadron, assigned to the 159th Fighter Wing, Louisiana Air National Guard, awaits permission to take off next to four F‐15E Strike Eagles assigned to the 492nd Fighter Squadron, Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, during a day sortie at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Aug. 24, 2016. The main difference between the F-15C and F-15E model is the C model only has one seat and is designed only for air-to-air combat, whereas the F-15E model has a second seat for a weapon systems officer and focuses primarily on dropping munitions on targets.
