Coronado departed its homeport of San Diego on an independent deployment to the Western Pacific, June 22 and is currently operating in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the Pacific and provides the realistic, relevant training necessary for an effective global Navy.
