Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike) and the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56) prepare for a live-fire exercise with the guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61). Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
