Camp Pendleton, CA – Drill Instructor Sergeant Steven Kelly, reads a citation for Silver Star recipient Staff Sergeant Theodore S. Holder II, to educators from Oregon and Southern Washington. SSgt. Holder was posthumously awarded the Silver Star for his actions on 11 November 2004 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Drill Instructors read these citations to recruits a part of recruit training to help instill in them the core values of honor, courage and commitment.
