Lance Cpl. Sedric L. Simon replaces a drop tank fin attached to an EA-6B Prowler belonging to Marine Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron 2, Marine Aircraft Group 16 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, at Al Asad, Iraq, June 18. Simon is a plane captain and power plant mechanic with the squadron's powerline division. The division's Marines are responsible for preflight and post-flight inspections, engine maintenance, external and internal fuel system maintenance, as well as acting as the plane captains for the aircraft. Simon is a West Palm Beach, Fla., native.
