    An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter flight mechanic lowers a line to the crew of a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat from Station Tillamook Bay during a training evolution in the Pacific Ocean near Garibaldi, Ore., Aug. 24, 2016.

    The flight mechanic is responsible for safe hoisting operations and giving directions to the pilots on where to position the aircraft because hoists are conducted in the pilot's blindspot.
