U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Christopher Nieves, staff noncommissioned officer-in-charge of Recruiting Substation Boston, teaches University of Massachusetts - Boston women’s soccer team players how to properly fireman carry a partner during a leadership seminar at the UMass Boston fields, Aug. 19, in Boston. Marine Corps leadership seminars are events wherein participants are taught about what makes good individual leaders and team cohesiveness followed by a workout regimen designed to make participants exercise those leadership principles under stress.
