U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Stephen Desmond, the officer selection officer for the Officer Selection Office Boston, gives a class on Marine Corps leadership traits and principles to the University of Massachusetts - Boston women’s soccer team during a leadership seminar at the university’s fields, Aug. 19. Marine Corps leadership seminars are events wherein participants are taught about what makes good individual leaders and team cohesiveness followed by a workout regimen designed to make participants exercise those leadership principles under stress.
