160812-N-SX983-095 KUANTAN, Malaysia (Aug. 12, 2016) Rear Adm. John W. Korka, commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific, gives a speech at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Wira renovation ribbon-cutting ceremony. U.S. Navy Seabees worked with the Malaysian Royal Engineer Regiment to renovate the school’s ceilings, classrooms and common areas. This is the first time USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) and Pacific Partnership have visited Malaysia. During the mission stop partner nations are working side-by-side with local military and civilian organizations in a search and rescue exercise, civil engineering projects, community relation events and subject matter expert exchanges.
